Bingley Schools' Swimming Galas 2023

Results

We are very proud to be supporting Martin House Children's Hospice, an organisation very close to us at Bingley SC, who provide family-led care for children with life shortening conditions. It is a place where children, young people and their families can go to stay from time to time along their journey and find support, rest and practical help. All money raised at these galas will go to this very worthy cause!

Primary and Secondary Schools' Galas - Saturday 18th March 2023

Venue: Shipley Pool
The doors will be open at 5.15pm to allow the children to enter and get changed.
The gala will begin at 5.45pm and aims to finish for 8.30pm.

In the interests of safety there will be no diving at any time during the gala.

Primary Schools' Gala Details

Age Groups: Years 1-4 & Years 5/6

Events for each age group:
  • Boys' 1 length Breaststroke
  • Girls' 1 length Breaststroke
  • Boys' 1 length Backstroke
  • Girls' 1 length Backstroke
  • Boys' 1 length Freestyle
  • Girls' 1 length Freestyle
  • Mixed 4x1 length Breaststroke Relay
  • Mixed 4x1 length Freestyle Relay

Mixed Relay Teams will consist of 2 Girls and 2 Boys in each team.

Bingley Schools' Relay Championship
There is also a separate Bingley Schools' Relay Championship Trophy for the Primary School team that wins a 4x1 length Freestyle Relay Team event swum by 1 Boy and 1 Girl from Years 1-4 plus 1 Boy and 1 Girl from Years 5/6.
