Welfare Officer
 
As a Club Bingley ASC maintain a role of a Child Welfare Officer for the swimming club. This job is to look after the best interests of swimmers and to ensure that Bingley Amateur Swimming Club is a safe environment, where swimming can be enjoyed.
 
The current Welfare Officer is Andy Dobson. Andy can be contacted by e-mail andydobson@blueyonder.co.uk
 
If you have any concerns relating to any aspect of Bingley Amateur Swimming club both in and out of the water, please do not hesitate to Andy. All concerns will be taken seriously and dealt with appropriately.
 


What does the Welfare officer do?
 
The Welfare officer promotes the welfare of members of the Club in accordance with ASA guidelines on Child Protection and ensure that the Register of Teachers and Coaches forms are complete.
 
Keeps the copy of the ASA Child Protection Guidelines. Ensure that any new initiatives or concerns from the ASA are communicated.
 
Ensure that Child Protection is an item on Club committee meeting agendas.
 
Be responsible for the training of all relevant people with regard to Child Protection.
